Kelly and John's Wedding
(Love in Venice)

As a wedding present to Kelly and John I decided to base their artwork around the romantic venue of their engagement, Venice. I pictured the happy couple aboard a gondola, toasting their marriage with champagne. Behind the gondola, trail some tin cans, the traditional addition to a wedding car on its departure from the reception!

"John and I got married last September and the following day, upon unwrapping our wedding presents, received one of the most thoughtful gifts we've ever had from anyone, a painting of a gondola in Venice. This would have been beautiful enough but then we noticed it was us on the boat (we were engaged in Venice), lovingly emblazoned with Finnish flag (I am half Finnish). Helen is a very talented artist but what makes her work unique is her attention to a personal, quirky detail that makes the subject sparkle even more. Our gift from Helen is a perfect reminder of a happy memory."
